Ilkley Complimentary Medicine Festival
Oh boy am I getting nervous now. Monday night is the big night for me. I will be doing an hours talk at the Happiness Centre in Ilkley about magnet healing and how it can help. Didn’t realise I would get so nervous, who would think talking about something I am so passionate about would stir up so much emotion. I think because the night is open to all I have no idea how many may turn up, could be a room full but there again could be none. Not sure which thought scares me the most.
Think I had better start and do some hands on reiki for myself and see if that will help.
Will let you know how I get on.

There are two main ways that magnets can be used to speed recovery from injury and ill health. Magnets can either be placed directly on the body at the pain point or surround the body to improve the flow of blood to all areas.
By using magnet healing on specific points a whole range of common ailments can be treated such as back pain, sciatica, arthritis, rheumatism and sports injuries.
When the magnet is placed on and around the affected area any soft tissue will lengthen and help to relax the ligament or muscle that has been damaged or traumatised. Usually an injured site on the body, whether it be a sports injury or arthritis, is surrounded by swelling and inflammation. When a magnet is placed on the area and the muscle and tissue relaxes the blood flow that has been blocked from the damaged site is then allowed in and the body can start its own healing.
This means the body then ‘kick starts’ its own beta-endorphin (pain relieving) system.
The second way that magnets can be used on the body is to generally improve the flow of blood around the whole body. This is achieved when the molecules in the blood react to the magnetic energy field produced by the magnets.

Well Mrs newbie cancelled and rebooked but then unfortunately had to cancel again as her mum is really ill and needs her at the moment. I wish she would come to see me as this is a time when she needs the healing herself. Too often we put our efforts into everyone else around us and totally forget about ourselves. Have left it open for her and hopefully she will come for a magnet session as I can feel she needs rebalancing and grounding to put her back on the right track after everything that has taken place over the last few months for her.
Lady E who has been coming to see me once a week is starting to feel the full benefits. Each week we spend between 1 and 2 hours just working with the magnets and reiki to relax and destress her. I wish I could take before and after photos as the difference in her facial features is just unbelievable. This week when she left she demanded to her husband that they go for a walk along the river. The weather was nice so hopefully they both enjoyed themselves and had lots of ‘them time’.
The cloud meditation with the magnets was well received. Everyone had their own personal insight and some felt deeply moved with what came up for them. There is one person I wish would book to come in to see me as am sure they would benefit deeply, I have mentioned that the door is open for them so can only wait and see. The decision has to be theirs and theirs alone.
Am going to be off in a mo to work on this weeks meditation. Am doing Thursday mornings now and this week I think we may go exploring in a cave to see what we can find. For some reason I feel really excited about doing this one, I wonder where we will end up as my imagination can run away with me at times.

I cannot believe it has been nearly a week since I was last on wordpress to give an update. Where has the time gone and what have I done with it. I wonder …..
Tonight I am at the Happiness Centre again giving tonights meditation, the theme of this one will be floating on a cloud. Am taking my little magnets in for anyone who wants to can hold one whilst they meditate. The idea is that the more they relax the more they will feel the magic magnetic energy working on them.
This week has been a busy one really as have been marking up a variety of crystals to stock at the HC for people to buy. The ones I will have on show are what I have in stock at the moment and there is a good selection. If there are any specific ones that people want I can always get them from the wholesalers. Hopefully they will be on show from tomorrow when I am on the desk I should have the time to price them all up. I am keeping the prices low as don’t believe in ripping people off, if I can buy them at a reasonable price them they are sold at a reasonable price.
Talking of tomorrow, I am doing 2 healings. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning lady is a newbie so fingers crossed all goes well for her and the lady in the afternoon has been coming to see me for a couple of weeks now and just loves the way she feels when I have finished, all warm and relaxed.
Well I suppose that is all my news for this week, I have been busy with other things but am sure you don’t want to hear about me proof reading my pages on the happiness centre ilkley’s web page. Things like this don’t come easy so it does take me a while. Still not sure what I amd doing but will get there in the end.
