Where do we go wrong in life when we don’t understand what is good for us and what isn’t? Why do we struggle to let things go? Why do we have to hang on to things?
Today I am going to try pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Anyone with me ?
What exactly is synchronicity? I keep hearing this word crop up in every day conversation and wondered if we really know what it means. Sometimes when we hear a word repeated it is because it is just a buzz word of the moment, or something we need to take note of.
With this in mind I have been asking what others around me think. One lady I have known for a while and thought I knew quite well told me she doesn’t believe in synchronicity or fate. She believes in coincidence. This then got me thinking what is the difference as I believed they were all about the same thing. Most have the same idea I did.
The dictionary tells me synchronicity is when something happens at the same time.
Twice one morning, within the space of 10 minutes, I asked my husband a question at the exact same time he was going to ask me the exact same question. I have to add here it does unnerve him when I do this and it happens quite often between us.
Yesterday a lady asked if she could book in for a quick tarot reading as as she had an easy question to ask. When I packed my bag for the days work that morning I wasn’t going to take a deck as thought I should have a day off for once. But, something made me go choose a deck at the last minute. Which I did and, thank goodness I did, otherwise the poor lady would have had to wait. Is this a coincidence, fate or all 3.
Today I was in the right place at the right time to be able to hold a healing session for a person I have worked with previously who just happened to be passing and had had a seriously stressful week at work. All they requested was a crystal healing for deep relaxation.
So which do you think it was? Synchronicity, fate or coincidence that brought us together this afternoon? I personally believe it was all three. We were both in the same place, at the same time and free to connect without any other influences. These are only 3 instances that immediately spring to mind on this Friday night.
Our friend Mr Collins tells me a coincidence is when an event may have been arranged but it wasn’t, it just happened and that fate is something that will happen to you in the future and we have no control over.
So, after discovering what the dictionary’s have to say I guess I have to conclude we are all maybe, partially, correct. No matter what events we are faced with in our lifetime we will always have control over some things but definitely not over everything.
Would love to know what you think and does synchronicity exist in your life. I sure believe it does in mine.
Over the many years that I have been practicing Reiki & Seichem I have been asked on various occasions whether having a Reiki treatment would be beneficial during pregnancy, so I thought I would put a few words together so you can decide for yourself.
Pregnancy can and does take its toll on the female body, the change in body shape, fluctuations in emotions, increases and decreases in hormones and general tiredness to name just a few. Women are now realising that the whole process does not need to be as uncomfortable as we are lead to believe it can be. Under these circumstances a Reiki treatment can have many benefits for both mother and her growing baby.
For those of you who have never tried a session before, I can only emphasise how safe and natural this holistic method of relaxation can be for you. This is a wonderful way to spend an hour of your time that will help bring your energy levels back into balance and improve your overall sense of well-being as Reiki is known to only work for the good of the person.
Reiki can be received as often as well as at any time during pregnancy as it is a very calming and de-stressing therapy and is particularly beneficial during the first trimester of pregnancy when the body is preparing itself for the changes to come. During the latter stages the Reiki energies can be given whilst you are sitting in a comfortable chair rather than laid down. It is absolutely fine to fall asleep during the treatment, you will still receive the full benefits.
The main aim of the treatment is to re-balance and rejuvenate you and sometimes I may be asked out of concern for the unborn child, which is totally understandable, will my baby also receive the reiki? I will be honest and say I do not know for certain. But, on one occasion a lady was getting concerned as her baby was beginning to slow down and not move as often as she would like so she asked the question will my baby share in this experience and also feel refreshed afterwards. So, we carried out an hours treatment and within 24 hours she had contacted me to say, “Oh no what have you done!!! It is like I have a little kick boxer in there now”. So we can only assume that your baby will share the experience with you, but be careful what you wish for if you don’t want to be prodded and poked from the inside out as this poor lady felt.
There is a lot of information on the internet and in books about Reiki and how beneficial it can be during pregnancy so below I have listed only a few of the main points as there are far too many to include in this short write-up.
v Can be laid down or sat up, which ever position is most comfortable for you at your stage in the pregnancy
v Helps to reduce anxiety and stress
v Does not interfere with any other form of medication or relaxation
v Can be received at any time during the pregnancy, can be given right up to and during the birthing process, unlike some other therapies
v Is believed to reduce fears and relieve any concerns relating to your pregnancy and birth
v Is proven to bring relief to tired and aching parts of the body and reduce feelings of exhaustion
v Is a wonderful way to create a true connection between mother and child
v Helps to restore deep and peaceful sleep patterns
v Is said to aid in the relaxation during labour thereby reducing tension and pain
v Some people say that if they have received Reiki during their pregnancy their babies are a lot calmer and less fractious in the early weeks
Should you find that you truly enjoy a Reiki treatment there is no reason why you and, or, your partner could not be attuned to carry out Reiki treatments on yourself and your unborn child.
